Last week was a very exciting one.
I was invited at the Product Technology Center in Singen togheter with 5 phd students from Serbia Sweden Israel brazil Greece who where laureate of the food teachnolgy conference in 2011 in Valencia. We were staying in the holiday inn hotel.
I started on Tuesday with Volker and dieter from osterburken. We got at Singen around 6 pm.
After checking in my hotel room and changed my close an joined Volker at the reception and there ne was with Bernard. Bernard is a Swiss corporate engineer at nestle central and west africa. He often work with my father he told me. Bernard was just coming in from Switzerland where he was for his vacation and he took that opportunity to come at PTC for a little update about their new product and systems.
So we went out for diner, ....a buffet, it was a beautiful and relaxed evening...we talked about our family and experiences. Taxes in Switzerland, speed limits, how the white money is made. Bernard showed us his boys pictures they were so cute turning in the dirt...looking very happy in Accra. We left the the restaurant at 10 pm back to the hotel. Once in the room 1 hour later, I was already asleep.
Next morning 6.30 am I was up, I prayed in tongues , read my bible and took a bath. By 7.10 am I was already down for the breakfast buffet where I met the other Guess from the confererence I met one of them before when I was checking in the hotel room. As we were expected at 8.15am at the company, we left at 8 am.
There were staff from the HR department, security check and badges, greetings, i was feeling kind of embarrassed at the beginning because many of them knew each other from their stay in valencia and i was the new one in the group. But everything finally went on ok so i could integrate myself and feel comfortable. With some presentation we learned a lot about nestle, vision, values, product and a project manager shared her experience in nestle with us she is 29 and turn as a project manager only 1 year and half after getting in the company. It was quite strange that most of the people we met were project managers.....I wonder who are the finally managing if everybod is a project manager?
Presentation followed by a pilot plant vistit we the machines, pressing and packing machines it was really exciting. The most impressive was a pressing machine with a capacity of 1200 cubes/ min. Wooow! We visited the chemistry and physics lab, even the kitchen as they start their development in kitchens...hmmmm...with the best chief from countries around the world.
After that lunch break at the Maggie canteen. Conversation was all around the place but I was listening kore that anything else.
In the afternoon the 5 students gave a presentation on their different research thesis. Kind of boring with chemistry part.
Then in the afternoon 7 pm after a refreshment to the hotel, we went to the lac of constanz locally called bodinsee...it is the largest lake in Germany. At the restaurant on the lake. A delicious entrance with smoken salmon, bakon, salad and boiled fish with some mayonnaise sauce, mustard. As it was getting cold we went inside the restaurant....had a lot of fun still with the hR staff and 3 other employees. It was so relax...we left at 10pm.
Prayer and fall asleep.
The next day and last activities day up at 6.30 prayer and mediation. At 7.30 I was down for lunch we were expected at the company at 8. 45 am s we left at 8.20 am.
This was my best day from the whole experience. The activities where directed by 2 psychologists. We took a 5 test exams called JOBFiDENCE. Meant to give a good insight into our professional profile. Strengths on which to build on and points which needs improvement.
The test in the morning was followed up by a 30 min personnal feedback with one of the psychologist.
We were 9 to take the test and my results were:
Maitrise DES connaissances acquires 55
Capacited'analyse combinatoire(elaboration autonome de solution a des problèmes abstraits) 79
Adaptabilites ( souplesse de comportement dans la poursuite de but) 74
Motivation au succès ( les aspirations en matière de reconnaissance) 64 . Je uis bop plus motive quandje peux visualiser le résultat final, quand je connais exactement c'est quoi l'objectif , le but de mon travail. Je ne suis pas fonctionnelle c'est a dire travailler juste pour être occupe.
Résistance au stress ( capacité de travail et de résolution de conflits en situation de stress psychosocial) : 44
Je suis très calme face au situation de stress. Je contrôle mes émotions pour qu'elle n'affecte pas le reste de l'équipe sachant le comportement des autres sont en général une réaction face au notre ...une sorte de réflexion.le phsychologue m'a dit de vraiment rester comme je suis très polie, et ouverte , a l'écoute quand les autres parle ( il a pris l'exemple sur notre conversation) ça a une influence positive sur les membres de l'équipe qui se sentent valorise et sont donc plus productif:
Persévérance dans la Poursuite des buts. ( tendance a réagir face a des difficultés inattendues qui entravent la réalisation des buts fixes). 72
Il a trouve mon profil bon pour mon âge. Surtout le 2eme point ou il a fait l'analogie avec le moteur, il a dit que mon moteur a une très grande puissante, qu'il n'a pas souvent rencontre. Mais il me manque d'essence illustre dans le 1 ère section. Je dois chercher a acquérir des connaissances solides dans mon domAine d'expertise et dans les autres situations dans osmonde. Cela fera de moi un high perforer. Ingénieur de renommée internationale.
CetAit tellement vrai ce qu'il disait. J'y pensais depuis un moment mais sans vraiment savoir
De quoi il s'agissait. Cela s'explique si bien. En fait depuis 3 ans que j'ai entrepris mes études au canada je ne my suis pas vraiment applique parceque je croyais que juste en priant et en ne faisant que les choses religieuses tout irait bien. Oui tou allait super bien j'ai jusqu'ici maintenue ma mention excellente mais sans véritable connaissance solide. Comme l'a dit le psychologue aussi, tout ce que je réalise jusqu'ici est basée sur cette capacité inée du point 2. Je ne me suis jamais vraiment intéresse a autre chose. mais je demande pardon a Dieu pour cela, le servir ne veut pas dire etre paresseu e mediocre dans les augers domaine de la vie bien au contra ire il me Donne la capacity de redoubled d'effeort et d'être plus excellent. Apron Seigneur et meri pour cette revelation que tu m'as accorde. Aide moi a rat trapper ce retard. L'histoire du monde, l'economie, le genie electrique et l'energie me dois me cultiver dans ces domaines la. Puisque mon cours d'electrotechnique set un cours de base en energie, bien que je l'ai reussi avec un B. Je desire le reprendre pour Voir use meilleure base en energy ou je souhaiterais revenue experte. Mon vocabulaire en franca is aussi n'est pas fameux le psy etait asses surpris que m'a langue maternelle soit le franca is....opus. Je devrais aussi trouver use strategy pour travailler la dessus. Seigneur merci pour ton Mour et pour ces revelations. Tu m'as beni et je sais que tu as use grande destinee pour moi. Je t'adore pere. mercy bcp.
La prochaine etape est de definir comment atteindre ces objectifs.
